Also, since there's only one woofer, you won't have to deal with any crossovers and the potential phase issues that come with them. If your primary pair of studio monitors feature 8-inch woofers and cover the sub-bass freqs, then the Auratone 5C is perfect for exposing any flaws in your mixes, forcing you to tweak the higher low-end until there's at least a hint of bass. Here, you get a pair with a woodgrain finish, and while they can't serve as your main studio monitors, they're indispensable as secondary units if you want to make sure that your productions sound bang-on - even when played back by an alarm clock.
